What should I do for my dad's birthday?

Last year I got him a nice watch for his birthday. This year I would like to do something a little different. I also have a 7 year old brother. My dad is an outdoorsy person. Him and my brother are involved in cub scouts. He is a den leader and assistant pack leader. He collects watches and pocket knives. But this year is a little different. We lost our house to a fire back right before Christmas. We are still in the cleanup rebuilding process. When I asked what he wanted for his birthday, he said he wanted his house back. (The insurance company didn't help us hardly at all). I want to do something special but more practical this year... Any suggestions?
